1.Overview

AxomLipi Pro ("the app", "we", "us", "our") is a desktop application for Assamese, Hindi and Unicode typing on Microsoft Windows, published by the developer behind www.axomlipipro.com. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information the app handles, what stays on your computer, and the limited information we collect to license and support the product.

By installing or using AxomLipi Pro you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2.Data processed on your device (stays local)

AxomLipi Pro is designed to work offline. The following are processed entirely on your computer and are never transmitted to us or any third party:

• Keystrokes & typed text. To convert your Latin keystrokes into Assamese/Hindi script, the app uses a local Windows keyboard hook. Keystrokes are read in memory only for transliteration, spell-check and word prediction. They are not logged, stored, or sent anywhere.
• Voice typing audio. Speech is transcribed by an offline Whisper speech-recognition model running on your machine. Your microphone audio is processed locally and is not uploaded.
• Images & OCR. The Image-to-Text feature uses an offline OCR engine (Tesseract). Images, screenshots and the recognized text stay on your computer.
• Font conversion, spell-check dictionary, clipboard, notes, settings and themes are all handled locally and saved only in your own user profile folder (e.g. %APPDATA%\AxomLipi Pro).

3.Information we collect

We collect only the minimum needed to license and support the app:

We do not sell your data, show ads, or build advertising profiles. The app does not run hidden background analytics on your documents.

4.When the app uses the internet

AxomLipi Pro only connects to the internet for these specific, limited purposes:

• License activation & validation — your license key and hardware fingerprint are sent to our licensing provider (Cryptolens) to verify your license.
• One-time model download — the first time you use Voice Typing, the offline speech model is downloaded from a public model host (Hugging Face). After that, voice typing works without internet.
• AI Spell & Grammar (optional) — this feature is off by default. If you enable it with a cloud provider, the text you choose to check is sent to that provider to be corrected. If you instead use a local AI engine (e.g. Ollama on your own machine), the text never leaves your computer. You control this.
• Update checks — to tell you when a new version is available.

5.Third-party services

We rely on a small number of reputable providers, each governed by their own privacy policy:

• Cryptolens — license activation and management.
• Payment processor — to take payment for Pro and Enterprise licenses securely.
• Hugging Face — host for the one-time voice-model download.
• OpenAI — only if you choose to use cloud AI for the optional Spell & Grammar feature.

6.How we use the information

• To activate, validate and manage your license.
• To provide customer support and respond to your requests.
• To deliver updates and important product notices.
• To detect and prevent fraud, piracy and abuse.
• To comply with applicable law.

7.Data retention

We keep license and purchase records for as long as your license is active and as required for tax and legal purposes. Support emails are kept only as long as needed to assist you. Locally processed content (typed text, audio, images) is never retained by us because we never receive it.

8.Security

License communications are encrypted in transit. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the limited data we hold. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9.Your rights

You may ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you (such as your name, email and license record). To exercise these rights, email us at the address below. Note that deleting your license record may deactivate your license.

10.Children's privacy

AxomLipi Pro is intended for general use and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11.Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be announced on this page or within the app.
